A type of pasta that is made from noodle dough and is rectangular in shape. Cannelloni are typically cooked in boiling water, drained, rolled around a meat or cheese filling and baked in a tomato sauce or white sauce. Cannelloni may also have a tubular pipe like shape in which case it is stuffed without being boiled first and then baked.
