Typicallya yellow-skinned crescent-shaped fruit with black or greenish black tips and creamy white meat with tiny edible black seeds. Some varieties have meat with pink or orange overtones. Bananas are very sweet with a rich texture. They are used extensively in patisserie, making mousses, creams, ice creams and tarts. They are a good match with chocolate.
