Even boiling an egg requires method if we are to do it properly.
When a boiled egg has an unattractive green-grey color around the yolk, you should know that this means you are dealing with a badly boiled egg.
You can avoid this easily by following some very basic instructions.
See these instructions, following the photos order.
-
Place the eggs in a pan, fill it with water to cover, season with salt and bring to the boil.
-
Boil for one minute and remove from the heat.
-
For a soft-boiled egg, leave in the water for 3 minutes and for a hard-boiled – but succulent – egg leave it for 5 minutes.
If you boil eggs but do not plan to consume them immediately, cool them under running water. This prevents the yolk from getting overcooked.
