Generally a slender, elongated member of a squash family that has thin, dark to light green skin, sometimes with yellow markings. The off-white meat has a very light and delicate flavor. There are other zucchini varieties that are very different in color and shape. Some are bright yellow, some are fatter and paler green, and others are rounded.
