A small fruit that grows in vines. Skin color and interior meat can range from pale green to deep purple and black. Grapes taste sweet and may have tiny, inedible seeds. There are thousands of varieties of grapes. Grapes can be used for eating out of band and for making raisins, juice and wine. So many varieties are harvested that it is possible to purchase fresh grapes in most supermarkets year-round.
